ELECTION
RULES.

1.The
candidates for different posts shall
file their nomination papers in the
printed form supplied by the College
office on payment of Rs.1/- for each
form. Any other form will not be
acceptable. |

2.The nomination paper
must be signed by the candidate personally before
the Principal or any other person authorized by the
Principal.
3.All candidates
filing nomination papers, their proposer and
seconder, must produce their identity cards at the
time of filing the nomination papers, in exceptional
cases their identity may be verified by the
admission register.
4.A student can file
nomination paper of one post only. In case a student
files nomination for two posts, both the nomination
papers will be rejected.
5.A candidate
contesting for a post can be a seconder or proposer
for any other candidate for any other post. But if
he proposes or seconds any other candidate for his
own post then his nomination paper for he post will
be rejected. But the nomination of the candidate for
whom he is a proposer or seconder will be valid.
6.A proposer or a
seconds can propose an second for not more than one
candidate for a particular post. If it is done
otherwise then both the nomination papers will be
cancelled.
7.The student should
make every effort to fill up the nomination paper
properly and write the post which he wants to
contest correctly according to the specimen given in
the notice board.
8.No nomination form
will ordinarily be cancelled unless the intention of
the candidate is not clear from the nomination
paper. All decisions of the Principal in this
regards shall be final and binding.
9.A Proposer or
Seconder of a candidate for post can not file
nomination as a candidate for the same post. If he
does so, then his own nomination will be cancelled,
But the nomination of the candidate for whom he is a
proposer or Seconder shall be valid.
10.Students who have
not taken Re-admission will be allowed to take
Re-admission 24 hours before the time fixed for the
election.
11.No student, whose
name appears in the Admission Register shall
ordinary be allowed to cast his vote without
producing the identity card. Only in special cases
his identity can be verified by referring to the
Admission Register.
12.After the counting
is over if application for recounting is made, such
application shall be made immediately stating the
grounds on which such recounting is claimed.
13.Rules regarding
voting, rejection of votes, time and place etc. of
voting shall be notified by the Principal before
each election.
14.Election may be
postponed by the Principal due to unforeseen
circumstances or due to events justifying such
postponement.
15.The Principal’s
decision in all matters with respects to the holding
or postponement of the election shall be final.
